It will, after all, have to follow on from the success of The Force Awakens – currently the third biggest film of all time in terms of ticket sales – and will also draw inevitable comparisons with The Empire Strikes Back....

While the conclusion of the Skywalker Saga revealed that Rey’s parents (played by Jodie Comer and Billy Howle) were forced to hide their baby daughter away on Jakku in order to protect her from Emperor Palpatine, and that her father was actually an imperfect clone of the Sith lord who lacked a connection to the Force, the movie never actually gave these characters proper Star Wars names. But a new tie-in novel, Shadow of the Sith by Adam Christopher, finally fixes this....

Supernatural Season 15 Episode 15 Sam and Dean take a little backseat to this week’s episode directed by Supernatural alum Matt Cohen. Jack and Castiel are where the majority of the story takes place as they investigate a series of gruesome murders connected to a church. It’s a feel-good moment to have a Jack/Cass adventure this week. We didn’t see Cass when the season restarted this month, cueing a fun confused reaction on his face when the boys mention the Mrs....

Damn, this show deserves a better fate. I have wanted to avoid focusing on the negative too much, but we are at the halfway point of Swamp Thing’s first, and currently only, season, and things are picking up – but I am skeptical whether we’ll get a satisfying conclusion (even thought the finale was supposedly reworked to provide closure). “Drive All Night,” (yet another Springsteen song title turned episode title) is a visually exciting ghost story with a creepy tone, and a plot that drives Abby’s arc forward....

I have been waiting to check it out for some time, and it delivered as an emotionally intelligent, fun show for all ages. And I figured there would be other movie and TV news within the realm of the weird....

After taking out Jack and the neo-Nazis and saving Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul) one final time, Walter White (Bryan Cranston) dies in the place that made him feel alive: the meth lab. Despite wacko fan theories about Heisenberg’s possible survival, it was the show’s intent to make perfectly clear that the anti-hero we all loved, and hated, for five years was no more. And for most normal folk, that would be the end of thinking about Walt, at least until a rewatch of the legendary series, or until Better Call Saul was launched in 2015....

The 100 Season 7 Episode 16 Ultimately, The 100 turned in a series finale that’s better than the back half of its final season, but not by a whole lot. The use of two fan-favorite characters (Lexa and Abby), and a last-minute twist, are responsible for much of the emotionally satisfying material. So much of the rest, including the saber-rattling and Sheidheda skulking around, feel like a waste of precious time, plot missteps from earlier in the season that long overstayed their welcome....

The Adam Project is a super fun new sci-fi movie from Netflix that speeds through its key rules and pretty much asks you not to worry about them, but if you’re the kind of person that worries about the rules, you’re gonna worry about them anyway! Let’s look at how Netflix’s big budget family movie sets out the past, present, and future, and explore the film’s hopeful ending, which wipes the slate clean for a planet on the road to some very, very bad times....

The sequel, arriving via MGM’s United Artists banner, follows up the 2019 sleeper animated iteration of the often-adapted iconic 1960s spooky snap-happy sitcom, which went on to gross $203 million worldwide against a $24 million budget. Indeed, The Addams Family 2 was reportedly in the works less than a week after the first film’s October 11, 2019 bow, and signaled an October release date of its own for 2021. While the woeful year of 2020 obviously changed the trajectory of the entire entertainment industry, it appears that, in true Addams fashion, the rules didn’t apply to this sequel, which now remains on its original pre-pandemic course for Halloween 2021....

For some viewers, there could not be a larger disparity between the pop art of the 60s movie and the gothic look of Matt Reeves’s film. But the Corridor Crew on YouTube found a way. A recently-posted video recreates The Batman’s first trailer, digitally replacing actors from the 2022 film with their 1966 counterparts. For those who have watched all ten episodes of The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance, it’s clear that the unresolved ending indicates that Netflix and The Jim Henson Company are counting on being able to further explore the confrontation between the gelfling and the Skeksis in season 2. After an initial battle that resulted in the retreat of the Lords of the Crystal, the gelfling rightfully celebrated, but the seven clans are obviously far from secure in their momentary victory....
